Catalyst coronavirus update
Your health and safety and that of our colleagues and contactors is our number one priority and we’re continuing to closely monitor the situation around coronavirus. We’re making sure we’re prepared and have detailed plans in place to help minimise disruption to essential services.
We are looking to put in place some measure to safeguard you, our colleagues and other partners. These may include:
- Postponing some public meetings and events in the days and weeks to come based on the advice from the government, the NHS and Public Health England
- Asking for additional information when you contact us to arrange a repair or any other service that requires someone to visit your home
- In order to minimise the risk of transmission to our most vulnerable customers, we ask that anyone who has suspected COVID-19 or is generally unwell does not visit our care services or schemes for older people. We will keep this under review, whilst also considering the wellbeing of residents, and the positive impact of seeing friends and family.

We’re following Public Health England guidance, have stepped up our cleaning processes and all our staff and trades vans are equipped with hand gel. We’re also asking employees to find ways of working differently, such as contacting residents by email, video call or by phone where that makes sense, and reducing visitors to our offices.

The situation is changing rapidly, so we’ll keep in touch and continue to review the service levels we’re able to provide. We’ll do what we can to minimise any impact on our services to you, but please bear with us if we have to do things differently over the coming weeks or months.
We want to assist our customers through this situation and if you are worried about paying your rent or service charge, please do contact us so that we can review your situation on an individual basis.
In some instances, we may ask you to tell us if you are self-isolating or have been diagnosed with the virus. For example, if you are asking us, or one of our repairs contractors/ Connect operatives, to visit your property. We will only use this information for the purposes of ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees, contractors, and wider communities.

We won’t disclose this information to anyone else unless it is necessary to do so to comply with any of our legal obligations, or where there is a substantial public interest to do so. For example, we may have to approach Public Health England, or another relevant statutory body, for advice in some instances.
